The Dire Honeys are a duo dedicated to bringing Americana Roots back to the airwaves with their own sweet (and sometimes salty) lyrical twists. Clear n' wholesome harmonies backed by mandolin, guitar and tenor banjo (and sometimes fiddle and flute) make this band a gem to see and hear. Based in Northampton, Massachusetts.
"The Dire Honeys are a fresh young sound coming out of the hills of western Massachusetts. With clear n' wholesome harmonies, pure melodies and raw, unabashed song writing, this band has a timeless sound that holds true to who they are; three very distinct women with a whole lot of gumption. Vanessa Chatwood Kerby, Lena Schmid and Mia Valentini trade vocals accompanied by mandolin, guitar, tenor banjo, drum, flute and fiddle. With an armory of sweet-and-salty originals and enough sass to start a wild fire, this band is truly something to behold."
